NOTES:  IN PLACE OF THE MEETING OF EASTVILLE, MIDVILLE & NEW LEAKE GROUP PARISH COUNCIL THAT WAS HELD ON MONDAY 13th MAY 2024 AT 7.15PM IN THE  EASTVILLE, MIDVILLE & NEW LEAKE VILLAGE HALL

  • Also in attendance:  Parish Clerk Deborah Money, and Dist Cllr Dickinson
  • Apologies for Absence: Apologies were received from Cllrs Thorold and Hastie

 

  1. To Co-opt New Councillors
  • There were no applications for co-option. 
  1. To Receive Reports From Representatives on Outside Bodies
  • No report received from County Cllr Bowkett
  • Dist Cllr Dickinson read out her report which was emailed to Councillors
  • Cllr Nunn updated Leake United Charities
  • Cllr Baker updated about the The Alenson & Erskine Foundation and that the allotments are being updated.
  1. To Receive Declarations of Interest in Accordance with 2011 Localism Act
  • No declarations made.
  1. Draft notes of the meeting held on 13th May 2024 resolution to adopt.
  • It was proposed by Cllr Scott and seconded by Cllr Baker to accept the notes as the minutes.
  1. Clerk’s Report
  • Filing cabinet, paperwork, keys and passwords to be collected from the previous clerk on Wednesday 15th May by Cllr Scott.

  1. Finance Report
  • Awaiting paperwork before we are able to complete Agar
  • Balance of Bank unknown.  Bank account mandate to be updated and amended by cllr Nunn (chair).
  1. Planning Matters from ELDC
  • Application S/047/00733/24 - Fairhaven – No objections
  • Application S/126/00685/24 - Poultry Farm – No objections as long as previous building is demolished and cleared material from site.
  1. Training Review
  • It was agreed that while we have the LALC training membership we should complete as much training as possible.
  • Clerk attending Effective Meeting training on the 16th May and awaiting publication of new training dates.
  • Training already completed by clerk Gov.uk domain and email changes by Parish Helper by the government, and domain training by SLCC.

 

  1. Memorial Gardens - Cllr Thorold on holiday update next month.
  2. Insurance checked and agreed by Cllr Nunn and Cllr Scott.
  3. Gov.uk Emails – Explained what was found out at training will seek further prices and more information to see if it is a worthwhile expenditure.
