Minutes of the remote meeting of Eastville, Midville and New Leake Group Parish Council meeting held on Monday 15 February at 7.05pm
1. Apologies for absence
Apologies: Apologies were accepted from Cllr Dickinson
Present: Cllrs Scott, Sweetman, Thorold and Nunn (Chair)
Also present: County Cllr Bowkett
2. To receive reports from representatives on outside bodies
a. Police report by email:
Lincs Alert will no longer be used, news will be put on the ‘Nextdoor’ social media site.
b. The Dist Cllr was not present.
c. County Cllr Bowkett reported:
i. A written report has been sent to the Clerk, this will be forwarded to Councillors, this was outlined.
ii. The fencing by the footway to the school will be repaired on Wednesday. It will be replaced when the work is carried out on the road.
iii. The next phase for repairs to Fodderdyke Bank will be from the railway to Dickon Hill Road.

3. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
There were no declarations of interest.
4. Notes of the meeting held on 14 December 2020 to be approved and signed as the minutes
It was proposed by Cllr Scott and seconded by Cllr Thorold that the minutes be signed as a true record, by the Chairman in due course.
5. Clerk’s Report
a. 300 copies of the Annual Booklet have been posted to all residents on the electoral roll.
b. Discussion took place on how the 2022 booklet can be improved and what sort of other information can perhaps be included.
6. Chairman’s report
a. If it is agreeable to the primary school, and to the Parish Council, the Chairman would be interested in being on the school PTFA. There were no objections to this suggestion.
b. 330 copies of the booklet were ordered, 399 were delivered at no extra cost. The printing costs would remain the same if there had been four additional pages in the booklet.
7. Finance report

8. To discuss the project at the Memorial Garden
a. The trees will be removed early next year when plans are in place to site the building.
b. Cllr Scott invited the Councillors to look at a wooden cabin to consider one for the Memorial Garden.
9. Planning applications received
The following planning applications were supported by the Parish Council:
S/120/00089/21 - E Wheeler & M Allen - Extensions and alterations to existing house to provide an enlarged lounge and living room at Bridge House, Barlode Drain, Midville
10. To report planning decisions from ELDC
Full planning permission has been received for:.
S/047/02110/20 - Mr & Mrs Goodwin - Conversion of, extension and alterations to existing garage to provide a self-contained annexe and office to be used in connection with the Sycamores at Sycamores, Boston Road, Eastville
S/047/02191/20 - Mr & Mrs Elsam - Extension to existing house to provide a kitchen/lounge on the site of an existing conservatory which is to be demolished at Eastville Cottages, Station Road, Eastville.
11. To receive reports for highways
a. The directional sign opposite the road to the Duke of Wellington has been put up but only fastened to one post and not two.
b. There is a bad dip in Midville Lane, this may be due to trees growing by the road.

14. To co-opt a new parish councillor
a. One application has been received, this was read out and discussed.
b. It was resolved to co-opt Mr S Daubney onto the Parish Council,
There being no other business the meeting closed at 7.45pm
