PUBLIC FORUM PRIOR TO MEETING ON 12 FEBRUARY 2024

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF EASTVILLE, MIDVILLE AND NEW LEAKE GROUP

PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2024 AT 7.15PM IN THE

EASTVILLE, MIDVILLE & NEW LEAKE VILLAGE HALL

 

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

 

Apologies:  Apologies were received from Derek Scott and County Cllr Bowkett

 

Present:  Cllrs Baker, Thorold, and Nunn (Chair)

 

2. TO CO-OPT NEW COUNCILLORS 

 

There were no applications for co-option.

 

3. TO DISCUSS EMPLOYING A CLERK

 

Applications will be reviewed and invited for interview, LALC will be consulted for assistance.

 

4. TO RECEIVE REPORTS FROM REPRESENTATIVES ON OUTSIDE BODIES

 

  1. Dist Cllr Dickinson emailed a report which has been sent to all Councillors.

 

5. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 

 

There were no declarations of interest.

 

6. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 11 DECEMBER 2023 TO BE APPROVED AND          SIGNED AS THE MINUTES

 

It was proposed by Cllr Baker and seconded by Cllr Thorold that the minutes be signed as a true record.

 

7. TO ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF PRECEPT FORM

 

Receipt was acknowledged.

  1. Interviews are planned for applications for the role of Clerk

 

11. FINANCE REPORT     

 

  1. To approve the following payments:

E L Arnold (admin and expenses)475.00

K & P Services (Cleaning bus shelter/war memorial) 40.00

LALC (Annual subscription)246.54

ELDC – Green Bin subscription to be done online50.00

b. to report balances in the bank

 

12. NATIONAL GRID TRANSMISSION CONSULTATION

 

The route and impact were discussed along with the impact on the local area and the timescale for objecting.

 

13. PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED 

 

S/126/01403/23 Mr A Grey  Change of use of land.

The councillors reviewed the application concerns were raised as it was difficult to ascertain the changes required and reasons for the re-application, especially as there still seemed to be outstanding points raised previously.

 

14. TO REPORT PLANNING DECISIONS FROM ELDC

 

S/126/02061/23 Glebe Cottage East, East Fen – Full Planning given

 

15. TO RECEIVE REPORTS FOR LCC HIGHWAYS/COMMENTS ON SPEED SIGN DATA

 

  1. No speed data received from the speed sign.

 

16. MEMORIAL GARDEN

 

  1. No further information available with reference to drainage.

 

17. MATTERS FOR THE NEXT AGENDA

         Reviews of applications in progress for position of Clerk.

18. DATE OF NEXT MEETING

The next meeting will be held on Monday 11 March 2024 at 7.15pm, with a public forum from 7.00pm.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 8.30pm
