Minutes of the meeting of Eastville, Midville & New Leake Group Parish Council held on Monday 15 April 2024 at 7.15pm in the Eastville, Midville & New Leake Village Hall

Public Forum

Mr K Barowsky attended the meeting to observe.

1.    In attendance:                                                                                                                                  

·         Cllrs Baker, Scott, Thorold, Hastie and Nunn (Chair) 

·         Also in attendance:

·         Parish Clerk Deborah Money

·         Apologies for Absence: Apologies were received from County Cllr Bowkett and Dist Cllr Dickinson.

 

2.    To Co-opt New Councillors

·         There were no applications for co-option. 

3.    To Receive Reports From Representatives on Outside Bodies

·         No reports received from either County Cllr Bowkett or Dist Cllr Dickinson

4.    To Receive Declarations of Interest in Accordance with 2011 Localism Act

·         No declarations made.

5.    Draft notes of the meeting held on 11 March 2024 resolution to adopt.

·         It was proposed by Cllr Baker and seconded by Cllr Thorold to accept the notes as the minutes.

6.    Clerk’s Report

·         No report

7.    Chairman’s Report 

·         The Chairman welcomed the New Clerk

8.    Appointment of the New Parish Clerk

·         Contract Agreed, with Salary, Annual Leave, Hours and Pension with a 15 April 2024 Start Date.

9.   Look at changing first Monday of Month meeting to first Wednesday of the Month, check on standing orders.

10. New Parish Clerk Considerations

·         Computer will be made available and agreed

·         some form of hard drive will be available

·         Clerk will use her existing printer for the moment.

·         Mobile phone will be organised.

·         Emails – Collect all information from previous clerks, along with any relevant passwords agreed with Cllr Scott

11. Finance Report

·         None Available

12. To approve the following payments:

·         K & P Services (Cleaning bus shelters/war memorial) £40

13. Balance at bank

·         No information is available.

14. To receive and planning decisions from ELDC

·         Application S/120/00196/24

·         No objections

15. No speed sign data at the moment so will try again.

16. Memorial Gardens Cllr Thorold will get a estimate for next meeting. 

17. Matters for the next Agenda

·         Insurance 1/6/24.

THE ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT MONDAY 13 MAY 6.30PM
